How the iizu team handles your information today, and how the app is intended to work when real account connections become available.
A pre-launch document.
iizu is still in development. This document describes the website and waitlist today, plus the intended approach for app features that are not yet available. We will update it as the product changes.
1. Who provides this service
This website, the waitlist and the planned app are provided by the iizu team. If you have a question about your information, email iizu.app@gmail.com.
2. What this site collects today
If you join the waitlist, we store the first name and email address you give us, plus any optional answers — age range, what you are, your main interest and your phone — and whether you asked to be considered for early testing or to receive email updates. We also store which page the signup came from and when it happened.
Your email address is stored in lowercase so the same address cannot end up on the list twice.
Browsing this site does not require an account, and we do not run advertising trackers. Our hosting provider processes ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver the site and limit abuse.
3. How bank connections are intended to work
The iizu app is in development and is not connected to a live financial institution. When connections are enabled, you will choose which accounts to connect through secure APIs operated by specialist bank-connection providers.
iizu will not receive or store your bank username or password. The connection provider will handle that sign-in and pass the iizu service only the account and transaction information you authorize. The service must process that selected data to show your balances, activity and insights, but the iizu team will not routinely browse your financial information.
Manual entry may be offered later, but it is not available today. If it is added, information you enter manually will receive the same protections as connected account information.
4. What the app is designed to collect
- Connected account information you choose to share, such as balances, transaction history, account type and a masked account number.
- Profile information, such as your name, email address and the preferences you set.
- Assistant conversations, including what you ask and the answers the service gives.
5. Why we use information
- To tell you when iizu is available, if you asked us to.
- To choose early testers across a range of situations and devices.
- To show your own accounts and answer your questions when the app launches.
- To keep the service working, secure it and prevent abuse.
Optional progress emails are based on your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
6. AI and financial data
The assistant is designed to receive the minimum context needed for a question. Account identifiers and email addresses are removed, account numbers are masked, the number of records is capped, and the information included depends on what you asked. Estimates are labelled as estimates.
In the current internal build, answers are composed by iizu’s own analysis engine and no third-party AI provider processes live financial data. Before that changes, this page will name the provider and explain what is sent and retained.
7. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal or financial data.
- We do not share your financial data with advertisers.
- We do not use your financial data to target advertising.
- We do not publish or share your waitlist entry.
8. Service providers
The iizu team uses infrastructure providers to host this website and store waitlist signups. No bank-connection or AI provider currently processes live financial data because live connections are not enabled. We will identify new providers here before they handle that data.
9. How long we keep information
We keep a waitlist entry until iizu launches or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. When app accounts exist, financial information will be kept while an account is active and removed after the account is deleted, subject to limited backup, security and fraud-prevention records.
10. Your choices
- Leave the waitlist. Email iizu.app@gmail.com and we will delete your entry.
- Stop progress emails. Every progress email will include an unsubscribe link.
- Disconnect an account. When connections exist, you will be able to disconnect one inside the app.
- Ask about your information. You can ask for access, correction or deletion by emailing us.
11. Young people
iizu is being designed with teenagers in mind, but the app has not launched accounts for minors. Age requirements and any guardian features will be set before those accounts are enabled. If you are under 18, please check with a parent or guardian before joining the waitlist.
12. Security
Waitlist records cannot be read through the public website or a browser key. Privileged credentials are held server-side. Future app data is designed to be scoped to its owner, and diagnostic logging is filtered to remove tokens, email addresses and account numbers.
We do not claim a security certification or independent audit that iizu has not completed. This page will be updated when the security posture changes.
13. Changes
This policy will change as iizu is built. We will update the revision date when it changes materially and notify waitlist members about changes that affect them.
Questions about this document can go to iizu.app@gmail.com. The iizu team will answer.
